Mr. Meshel is the founder and chairman of The Strategic Forum and the author of "One Phone Call Away": Secrets of a Master Networker (published by Penguin/Portfolio). Mr. Meshel serves on various boards both philanthropic and business oriented.
In 1985, at the worst possible time, Jeffrey started his business. He and his partner along with two employees shared a 10x10 office. He had no credibility and knew very few resources. Against formidable odds and perseverance he built his business by collecting relationships and listening to the needs of others. He adopted a great philosophy of "Don't ask what's in it for me?" Instead, ask "How can I help you?"
Jeffrey has over 5000 individuals in his personal database and is virtually "One Phone Call Away" from anyone. He believes that one of the keys to success is that in a competitive world, you have to stand out from the pack and that it's essential to do things outside the box. As an example, Jeff is the Chairman of The Strategic Forum which has been nicknamed "YPO on steroids!"
